Account Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of a Mountain Melodies account and what data may be deleted or retained. It is the public web page for Google Play account deletion and is available without signing in.

How to request deletion

  1. Open Mountain Melodies and go to Account, then choose Delete account or Account deletion where available.
  2. If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request".
  3. Include the phone number used for Mountain Melodies login. If your request relates to a payment, include the payment reference as well.
  4. We may ask for confirmation to make sure another person is not trying to delete your account without permission.

What we delete

After a valid request is verified, we will delete or de-identify account data that is no longer needed to provide the service or meet legitimate obligations. This may include profile details, listener library records, favorites, playlists, notification preferences, active device links, and account status data.

What may be retained

Some records may be retained where necessary for payment disputes, chargebacks, refunds, tax, accounting, artist payout reporting, fraud prevention, security logs, legal compliance, support history, or proof that the deletion request was handled. Retained records are limited to those purposes and are not used to keep the account active.

Access after deletion

Deleting your account may remove access to active passes, receipts inside the app, playlists, saved music, support history, and account-linked playback. Deletion is different from cancelling a future renewal. If your payment was handled by Google Play, mobile money, card, or another provider, you may also need to manage any recurring billing directly through that provider.

Timing

We aim to review deletion requests promptly. Complex cases, payment disputes, account ownership checks, fraud review, or payout/accounting obligations may take longer. We will use the contact details you provide if we need more information.

Correction instead of deletion

If the problem is a wrong name, wrong receipt email, device lock, payment mismatch, or phone number issue, contact support first. We may be able to correct the account without deleting your music access.
